Just got quoted 6k for a mechatronic repair - does that sound about right?

So I've been dealing with some hesitation and rough shifting on my 2015 Q5 2.0 TDI for a few weeks now, and I finally took it to a specialist for a proper diagnosis. They've come back and told me the mechatronic unit is starting to fail and needs to be repaired or replaced, and they've quoted me around 6,000 AED for the repair including labor and new fluid. I honestly don't know if this is a reasonable price or if I'm being overcharged, because I've seen everything from 4,000 to 10,000 online and the range is so wide it's basically useless. The car has about 110,000 kilometers on it and otherwise drives well, so I'm leaning towards getting it fixed rather than selling, but I want to make sure I'm not being taken for a ride. I've been reading about these mechatronic units and it seems like a pretty common failure point on these ZF transmissions, and apparently there are different approaches to repairing them, some places just replace the circuit board while others do a full rebuild of the valve body. The specialist I went to seemed knowledgeable and they explained the process clearly, but I still want to do my due diligence. I found a recommendation to Click here for trusted transmission service in Abu Dhabi from someone in another forum, and I'm wondering if I should get a second opinion or if 6k is actually a fair price for this kind of work. Has anyone here had a mechatronic repair done recently on a similar car, and what did you end up paying? I'd really love to hear what others have experienced so I can make a properly informed decision rather than just going with the first quote I got.
